The theme park with the most roller coasters in Florida is about to get two more. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay previously announced that Tigris, which will be Florida’s tallest launch coaster, is poised to pounce soon for its spring opening. Then the park dropped the news that its old wooden roller coaster Gwazi, which closed in 2015, is ready to be reincarnated!

Construction has already begun on what will be a wood and steel hybrid coaster, featuring a maximum height of more than 200 feet. The ride, manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction, will feature all-new thrill elements as well as restored elements of Gwazi. When it opens in 2020, it will be North America’s tallest hybrid, and also the fastest and steepest hybrid coaster in the world.
