On Saturday, June 1, 53 ACE members and their guests gathered at Six Flags Over Georgia for the first Spring Fling event in two years. The 2018 event was unfortunately cancelled, so everyone was excited to get some ERT on the newest coaster in the park, 2018’s Twisted Cyclone. An hour of morning ERT on the twisted teal blue track was a great wake-up call for attendees, and with the park running two trains, everyone was able to ride as much as they wanted without moving seats if the row was empty.

Once ERT ended and the park opened for the day, attendees were given wristbands good for two hours of Fast Pass line usage to continue the fun. The crowds ended up being light for most of the morning, but the Flash Passes were still nice to have. As noon approached, everyone gathered in the park’s picnic pavilion for the meal of the day. Once finished, most everyone stayed around and caught up with friends, old and new, while several folks captured photos from the different viewpoints of Blue Hawk and the Great American Scream Machine.
When the scheduled pavilion time ended, those who wanted to see the parks “Rhythm & Grooves” show were given reserved seating, which allowed everyone a much needed cool down from the heat. After the show, attendees were free to roam the park for the rest of the day soaking up the sun in Hurricane Harbor or getting a few spins in on the park’s 2019 addition, Pandemonium.
