ACE Day at Centreville Amusement Park always provides a perfect, more casual follow-up to the activity-packed Roller Coasters, Eh?!? at Canada’s Wonderland.

Centre Island is accessible only by ferry. This year, the ferry experience was spectacular — a perfect September morning with calm waters, bright sunshine, mild temperatures and a wonderful view of the Toronto Harbourfront.

The main attraction for ACEers is the Toronto Island Mine Coaster, and the ride didn’t disappoint! Everyone — even the smaller family members — scored multiple rides. When a light drizzle started, most attendees headed for drier environments. Luckily, Centreville has a great variety of amusements, including Bumper Cars, where some lively competition turned up. The indoor vintage Scrambler — a dark, fast-moving attraction complete with flashing lights and an invigorating classic rock soundtrack — provided an exciting experience.

Of course, ACEers love to socialize over food, and Centreville is full of picnic areas (not all sheltered). Everyone got creative and no one went hungry.

The great thing about ACE Day at Centreville is that there is something for everyone. Members had a relaxing, family-friendly day at the park, ending in another ferry ride and for some, a little sightseeing in downtown Toronto.
