On May 14, 2020, Gary Naftz passed away suddenly. Gary was a quiet man who didn't like any fuss, so his leaving us with little fanfare was certainly his style. Gary was a dedicated family man and husband. Gary didn't have much use for words, but if you asked him about his family, his eyes would twinkle, and he'd share a story. Family was clearly his passion and joy. Gary had the same level of loyalty and commitment to Mount Saint Vincent, where he worked for 35 years. He rarely missed work. Well, there was the time the squirrel jumped out of the dumpster and attacked him. (That story will live on for years.)
Gary will be missed more than words can say. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Gary's family as we work to support them through a time that is difficult for all of us.

Some of my memories of Gary were that he always came to events with his family, grandkids included. His wife, Debra, was always there too. His joy for roller coasters, or at least the Lakeside Cyclone, went so far that he would help carry his grandson, Isaac, who was confined to a wheelchair, up the ramp so that he too could ride the Cyclone during ERT.
