Seabreeze Amusement Park in Rochester, New York, has announced it will not be opening this summer owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This marks the first time that Seabreeze has not opened in 141 years. Park officials said the lack of clear guidance and permission to open from the state led to the decision to remain closed for the season.
People who have a Seabreeze Passport for the 2020 season will have it roll over to the 2021 season at no cost, plus two complimentary one-day passes and $20 in Food Bucks. Anyone who would like a refund can contact the Seabreeze staff via email. All single-day tickets purchased in advance will be honored next year.
All group events planned at Seabreeze have been canceled as well.
An opening date of May 22, 2021 has been scheduled.
