On Sunday, April 2, a small group of ACE members gathered for the 2023 season’s opening of Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park and the traditional Coney Island "Blessing of the Rides." Following the morning’s ceremonies, the park generously provided complimentary all-day wristbands to the ACE members in attendance. Participants enjoyed rides on Deno's three roller coasters: Phoenix, Sea Serpent and Skyflyer, as well as its iconic Wonder Wheel, Spook-A-Rama dark ride and other attractions. As an added bonus, neighboring Luna Park offered an opening weekend special discount that allowed attendees to experience Luna Park's newest coaster, Tony's Express, having opened late in the 2022 season.

ACE members who missed this event will have another opportunity to visit later this summer when Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park and Luna Park will co-host ACE’s Preservation Conference in August (along with nearby Playland Park and Adventureland).
