Family coaster enthusiasts in Canada will be getting a pretty amazing Christmas gift a little late.

In 2025, Santa's Village in Bracebridge, Ontario, is opening Yeti Trek — Canada’s newest family coaster from Vekoma. It joins the park’s other coaster, Peppermint Penguin Coaster, an SBF spinning coaster. The welcome news of a new coaster comes after Santa’s Village announced the permanent closure of another coaster, Rudolph’s Sleigh Ride, after ongoing mechanical issues.

The park, just a few hours north of Toronto, has been a family favorite since 1955, when local residents built the park to encourage visitors to the area after the newly constructed Highway 11 bypassed the town. Its current owners, Brad and Sara Dunkley, have been adding new attractions as part of an ongoing expansion of the park.

According to the announcement on Facebook and X, “Santa has invited elusive Yetis all the way from the North Pole, and you might just spot one on your wild ride! This is more than a coaster — it’s an unforgettable experience.”

In the heart of Ontario’s cottage country, Yeti Trek will take riders of all ages (38 inches or taller) through centuries-old pines along the Muskoka River on a fun and scenic ride.

Yeti Trek is sure to be a hit for park visitors. It will build on fans’ fondness for Santa’s Village for generations to come.
