The ACE Eastern Pennsylvania region hosted its second waterpark event called Slide With ACE at Dorney Park’s Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, June 1. This was the third event hosted on the same weekend, which also included It’s a Thrill at Bushkill and Clowning Around at Dorney Park. The temperature in the morning was brisk, but it didn’t deter attendees from enjoying themselves.

Because ACEers enjoy knowing how things work almost as much as they enjoy amusements, Slide With ACE featured a behind-the-scenes tour.

The morning started with one hour of ERT on the Aqua Racer mat slide. Not long afterward was the first-ever Aqua Racer Contest. The challenge was for participants to compete in groups and race each other on the slide. Anyone who wasn’t competing was encouraged to watch and received a cow bell to cheer on the racers. There were eight contestants in the first round, which was then reduced to two racers who competed in the final round. In the end, Josh Slee took home the first-place gold medal.

After the contest ended, attendees were granted early access to the waterpark’s new-for-2025 slides, Cascade and Lightning Falls.
After the scheduled activities ended, attendees could stay and spend a relaxing day at the waterpark, which was celebrating its 40th anniversary. ACE Eastern Pennsylvania extended its gratitude to the awesome team at Dorney Park for hosting the event. Slide With ACE will return next year in a month that’s reliably warmer!
