Very sad news from Santa’s Village in Jefferson, New Hampshire. Posted on its Facebook page is the announcement that 2023 will be the last year of operation for Rudy’s Rapid Transit.
According to the post: “Let's enjoy a Pure Joy Family Style summertime season riding Rudy’s Rapid Transit Coaster before the ride is retired from service during fall 2023. It's a family favorite and we are sad to see it go. We'll share updates about improvements for future seasons soon!”

Rudy’s has been at Santa’s Village since 1988. It operated from 1981 to 1987 at Benson’s Animal Park (New England Playworld) in Hudson, New Hampshire, and was known there as the Firefly Coaster. The Facebook posting indicated that repairing and replacing parts was getting harder and harder to do.
We look forward to further news on what will move into the space presently occupied by the coaster.
