The newest roller coaster at Carowinds, Charlotte, North Carolina, has been shut down for an investigation after a rider was injured on Sunday, August 18.
The incident happened on Copperhead Strike, when a guest suffered a thumb injury while onboard. At this time, it's still unclear exactly what happened on the ride that caused the injury or when the ride will reopen.
