Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, has announced what will be the tallest, fastest and longest single-rail coaster. Jersey Devil Coaster will make its world debut in 2020.
Towering 13 stories and running at speeds up to 58 mph, this coaster will seat riders single file and will cover over 3,000 feet of track. Jersey Devil Coaster, from Rocky Mountain Construction, will feature the following:
- Four sleek trains of 12 passengers each, sitting low and inline style (one rider per row) over the monorail track
- More than 3,000 feet of soaring, single-rail, I-beam track
- A 130-foot lift hill
- An 87-degree first drop, a raven dive and an overbank cutback
- Two inversions: a 180-degree stall and a zero-gravity roll
Riders must meet the 48-inch height requirement. Jersey Devil Coasterwill be located along the lakefront near Safari Kids and Congo Rapids, and will debut in the summer of 2020.
