The ACE Executive Committee met in October 2020 via Google Meet. Listed below are some of the meeting highlights:
- The budget for 2021 was approved.
- ACE will offer free shipping on merchandise orders over $50 during the annual Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale.
- The Executive Committee approved donations from the Preservation Fund to Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari (Santa Claus, Indiana) for work on The Raven, Linnanmaki (Helsinki, Finland) for work on Vuoristorata and Enchanted Forest (Turner, Oregon).
- The Executive Committee disbursed $50,000 to the NRCMA for continued work on the museum expansion.
- New Membership Director Jeremy Delong shared a plan to recognize years of continued membership during Coaster Con 43.
- Region Director Chris Kraftchick reported that, owing to COVID-19, ACE regional events were limited throughout the summer season. However, the events that took place were well attended.
- ACE is planning to host a one-day virtual winter event in February 2021 pending input from the regional reps and their plans to host in-person winter events.
- Owing to COVID-19, ACE does not plan to host a spring conference in 2021.
- Events Director Steve Berto reported that the itinerary and pricing for Coaster Con 43 in 2021 will be similar to what was planned for 2020.
- Itinerary and pricing for the Preservation Conference in 2021 will remain similar to what was planned for 2020.
- ACE will release a survey to the general membership in the fall of 2020.
