On March 26, Tayto Park, Ashbourne, Meath, Ireland’s only theme park and zoo, was granted approval for the construction of two new steel intertwining roller coasters.

The coasters represent a total investment of €15 million [US$17.7 million] and will represent the largest single investment in the parks 11 years in business. Noise reduction methods to secure approval were an additional €1,500,000 [US$1.77 million] investment.

- Suspended Coaster
- Length: 748 meters (2,454 feet)
- Height: 31 meters (101 feet)
- Capacity: 1000 people per hour
- Speed: 100 kph (62 mph)
- Boomerang
- Length: 221 meters (725 feet)
- Height: 24.2 meters (79 feet)
- Capacity: 720 people per hour
- Speed: 70 kph (43 mph) forward and 60 kph (37 mph) backward
