Making this milestone more significant, Al Schoelen suffered a massive heart attack on September 19, 2020, and was not expected to survive. The doctors said that he had severe brain damage and if he did live, he would be in a vegetative state. He woke up three days after and only has a slight anoxic brain injury, which has not slowed him down from softball or roller coasters. He has been so excited about Coaster Con this year and cannot wait to see everyone in Pennsylvania.
