Later this summer, Sandusky, Ohio’s Cedar Point will say goodbye to one of its roller coasters. Wicked Twister is being retired. Park officials say its last rides will be given on Monday, September 6.

Tony Clark, spokesperson for the park, was asked for additional details about the ride's removal but would only indicate the decision was made "as we prepare for future park improvements."
Clark also noted there will be more "fun details to share" about the ride's last day, which will be revealed at a later date.
Wicked Twister has given more than 16 million rides since making its debut along the Lake Erie shoreline in 2002.
