October Executive Committee Meeting Highlights

The ACE Executive Committee (EC) met on October 23 – 24, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia. Listed below are some of the meeting highlights:

  • The EC welcomed Jay Jacobs as the Operations Director.
  • The Code of Conduct was discussed, revised and updated.
  • Landmark plaques were approved for Sea Dragon at the Columbus Zoo and Blue Streak at Cedar Point and will be awarded in 2022.
  • The ACE Financial and Reimbursement Guidelines were discussed and amended.
  • The ACE 2022 budget was approved and is online for members to view.
  • A partial refund for the banquet at Coaster Con 43 was reviewed. An email will be sent to those members in attendance, giving them a choice of a small refund or a donation to the ACE special funds.
  • The EC reviewed the registration process for regional events and discussed methods of improving the recording of receipts.
  • The delegates to the IAAPA Expo 2021 were approved.
  • Some details of Coaster Con 44, to be hosted by Cedar Point and Kennywood, were reviewed.
  • An update on the status of the international trip for 2022 will be provided as soon as the committee has more information.
  • Spring Conference 2022 was approved and will be held at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and SeaWorld Orlando.
