SeaWorld Orlando Adjusts Ice Breaker Height Requirement

SeaWorld Orlando’s Ice Breaker officially opened to the public Friday, but the new attraction has already undergone a change at the Florida park.

Over the weekend of February 19-20, the theme park adjusted the height requirement for the coaster, which had been touted as a family thrill ride. Previously, the minimum height requirement was 48 inches, allowing smaller visitors to ride. However, Ice Breaker now requires all riders to be at least 54 inches tall.

The park experienced some operational issues with smaller riders, so out of an abundance of caution, they raised the height requirement from 48 inches to 54 inches for the time being, as they work with the manufacturer and safety professionals to make adjustments.
