After an action-packed first day of the IAAPA Expo 2022, the excitement didn’t stop on the second day! Chance Rides showed off ride vehicles for Bone Shaker: The Ultimate Ride coming to Mattel Adventure Park in Arizona for 2023. Wisdom Rides and its new division, Noble Rides, displayed its lead car for a new linear synchronous motor roller coaster design. Although Expo attendees were not able to hop in these roller coaster vehicles, on the other side of the showroom floor, SBF Visa provided a rideable coaster experience yet again. The company’s popular figure-eight design was showcased this year with a Barrels of Fun name and matching theme. SBF Visa also offered a variety of flat rides to possible buyers.

Today was the day that the waterslide exhibitors really made a splash on the showroom floor! WhiteWater debuted six new products, including Blasterango Battle, Boomerango Squeeze, Walhalla, Aquafortress, Flowsurf and Clarus. Clarus is a clear fiberglass that will bring a new thrill to waterslides.

The ACE booth has been completely revamped this year with a modern, clean design. Located in a central location on the showroom floor, the booth draws attendees with its new colorful backdrop featuring ACE members doing what they love most, riding a variety of roller coasters with huge smiles on their faces. A visual presentation from the ACE YouTube team features ACE event recaps, interviews with ACE members, the ACE Schwarzkopf documentary trailer, World Roller Coaster Appreciation Month highlight reel, ACE Corporate Member logos and ACE Roller Coaster Landmark video series selections on a large screen. On the other side of the booth, visitors are encouraged to take a photo with the Connected by Coasters Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc. car complete with large teddy bear passengers.

ACE volunteers who are present at the booth provide information to IAAPA Expo attendees and encourage them to learn more about ACE in hopes of getting new members. Many park representatives visit the booth to reconnect and meet new ACE volunteers. Strengthening the relationship between parks and ACE, these interactions reinforce to the parks that ACE is available to support them in any way they need. Visitors to the ACE booth this week include representatives from Universal Parks, Disney Parks, Lakeside Amusement Park, Uncle Bernie’s, Funplex, Fun Spot, Sluggers & Putters, SeaWorld Parks, Texas Winter Park and Indiana Beach. They all receive the 2022 ACE collectible pin to add to their collection. This year’s pin is the ACE Safe Space logo. Safe Space is a focused effort to ensure that ACE creates a welcoming environment for anyone who loves roller coasters. The pin along with the redesign of the ACE booth have proved to be popular among IAAPA Expo attendees, resulting in a large influx of booth traffic. IAAPA Expo 2022 continues tomorrow with complete coverage by ACE’s social media channels.
