The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is becoming a little hotbed of coaster activity. In 2026, Universal Kids Resort (Frisco, Texas) opens, bringing an entire new theme park of fun — geared to kids, of course. Six Flags Over Texas (Arlington) has announced the world’s tallest dive coaster for next year. And now, a new coaster has just opened on March 1.

Peppa Pig Theme Park located in North Richland Hills, just outside of Fort Worth, is the third such theme park in the world. The first was constructed in Winter Haven, Florida, in 2022. Many ACEers made the trek across Legoland Deutschland’s parking lot to get an additional credit while in (Günzburg) Germany during Journey to Central Europe. At the time, the park was only a couple of months old.

The three parks offer very similar experiences, with the ride packages being almost identical. The most thrilling — and the ride of most interest to ACEers — is Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster.

Built by Zamperla, the coaster features both a tire lift and a tire launch (midway through the ride). Each ride consists of two laps, making for a satisfying experience. Daddy Pig sits in the front car, so no POV seat is available, but the 10 cars behind him can seat up to 20, which helps the line move as best it can when herding cats … er, little ones.

Everything at Peppa Pig Theme Park is geared toward age 6 and under, but certainly all guests are welcome. Although only five rides may sound skimpy, preschool kids are equally delighted to play in the sand, crawl in the playground, ride a tricycle or jump in the splash pad. Big-park owners could use a watchful eye and take notes.

Whimsical theming creates a charming and cheerful atmosphere for guests young and young at heart.

Owing to the nature of its clientele, Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster isn’t going to deliver white-knuckle thrills. But if such a coaster can offer pink-knuckle thrills at a very young age, it’s the perfect way to acclimate young children to like coasters and bigger parks for when they grow up.

Admission is $27.99, so if any enthusiast wants to add that credit, it’s a pricey one. But spending time watching little kids have the time of their life is worth part of the admission.
