United Kingdom-based Paultons Park (Romsey, Hampshire, England) has announced a new land and attractions set to open for the 2026 season: the viking-themed Valgard, Realm of the Vikings. The area will include a swing ride as well as a Gerstlauer Eurofighter named Drakon, which will be the park's first roller coaster to go upside down.
The entire area represents a £12 million ($16 million) investment and also involves a retheme of the park’s Cobra attraction (which will be renamed “Raven” to fit in with the area). Valgard will include a themed restaurant and playground for younger guests. In speaking with the BBC, Paultons' management also mentioned that a water-themed attraction will be added to Valgard for the 2027 season.
The park, which opened in 1983 and is family owned, also debuted a new indoor ride, Ghostly Manor, for the 2025 season.
