Discussed topics included the following:
- Upcoming Flagship Events: An update from Events Director Dan Jones previewed exciting plans for future events.
- 2026 International Trip: President Elizabeth Ringas shared updates, and the motion to hold the trip was approved.
- Financial Overview: Treasurer Chris Tilsley proposed
transferring funds into ACE’s equity investment account to support long-term
financial stability. Communications Director Derek Perry recommended updating
reimbursement guidelines to better support expenses incurred when media day
coverage requires travel outside a member’s home region.
- Personal Remarks From the Immediate Past President: Reflecting on service and transition.
- World’s Largest Ride Update: Region Director Javan Townsend hosted a discussion about the date and execution.
- Confidentiality Policy: A discussion led by Ringas included expansion of policy protections.
- Legacy Planning: A brief discussion around the legacy the Executive Committee members hope to leave in ACE.
- Problematic or Predatory Members: Townsend led a discussion on protecting our community.
Due to time constraints, the following were not discussed and will be revisited in upcoming meetings or monthly calls:
- Save the Wood Coaster documentary project
- Strategic plan review
- Volunteer entry opportunities
- Use of Higher Logic platform
Follow-Up Actions
- Confidentiality Policy will be extended to include regional representatives without administrative access and managers.
- Summer 2026 Executive Committee timing will be discussed further at the October meeting.
- Legacy Reflections will be explored in greater depth at the January strategic planning session.
- Ongoing Discussions will continue around topics like the World’s Largest Ride.

Building Relationships
Following the meeting, many Executive Committee
members and their guests shared a dinner together. These informal gatherings
are key to strengthening the trust, respect and connection that support ACE’s
collaborative leadership.
