On June 3rd the Swedish amusement park Furuvik officially opened the family launch coaster Lightning. Manufactured by Vekoma, Lightning offers a family-thrill experience that is designed with a wide variation of surprising track elements and high-speed gravity sections. Propelled by a magnetic launch, the train reaches 46.6 mph in just 3 seconds, Lightning is the fastest family launch coaster in the world for young kids and daredevils.

The launch is followed by lots of exciting twists, turns and airtime. The pacing of the ride is very fast and with lots of ride elements at close proximity to the ground, it feels even faster traveling the track length of 1410 feet.

After an initial circuit, and with the train traveling at nearly 25 mph through the station, a second launch at over 46 mph has the train traveling the course again. Total length of track traveled is over 2820 feet of ride experience.
With a minimum height requirement of 40 inches, Lightning offers maximum fun for everyone!
