Six Flags Great Escape, Queensbury, New York, is officially releasing The Bobcat from its den. The coaster, from The Gravity Group, LLC, marks the first new wooden coaster introduced to New York since 1999. The Bobcat boasts a mix of speed, airtime and turns, delivering a modern twist on the old-fashioned appeal of wooden roller coasters.

To commemorate the coaster’s first official full weekend of operation, the first 1,500 riders of each day on June 1 and June 2 will be gifted an exclusive, themed souvenir.

Speed: up to 40 mph
Height: 55.4 feet
Length: 1,412 feet
Trains: 2 Timberliner trains, 12 passengers per train
Height Requirement: 42” with person of responsibility, 48” to ride alone
