Thorpe Park, Chertsey, Surrey, England, has shared a glimpse of its much-anticipated new roller coaster, Hyperia, set to open to thrill seekers in spring 2024.
Hyperia will reach a top height of 236 feet and travel at a maximum speed of more than 80 mph, pushing Big One (230 feet) at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool, Lancashire, England, off the podium for the United Kingdom’s tallest and fastest roller coaster.
The theme park has released a point-of-view video of the twist and turns to come, including a Stealth-style vertical drop, a dive loop and an Immelmann turn – a half-loop followed by a half-twist inversion. The video can be viewed here.
