Hidden Gems in our region.

    Hey all,

We all know about Cedar Point, King's Island, Michigan's Adventure, and Stricklers Grove, but what are some of the hidden gems in our region? Be it a charming small park or family entertainment centers or just a nice single coaster in the middle of nowhere.

Memphis Kiddie Park, Sluggers & Putters, and some fantastic zoos!

And for the rail folks the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad!

    Sweet!

They are officially on my list for next time I venture through Ohio!

What do you like about them? What are some.of the must do's when one visits? The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad sounds really cool.

Come to the August ACE event at Cedar Valley!  I wouldn't exactly call it a "hidden gem," but more a whackadoo collection of weird rides you won't see anywhere else (a Paratrooper where you have to lift your legs to keep them off the ground, a crazy water coaster thing that flies you off the end of a track into a pool of water).  If you have any interest in the offbeat off the beaten path, Cedar Valley is a must!

This one might not be open when you go, but Howard's Apples has a tiny coaster. It's rarely open, but I have heard that they sometimes open it for passing enthusiasts.

I checked out the coaster on RCDB, looks like a fun little kiddie coaster, I'll have to find my way there!

It is a fun little ride.  They opened it for just me and my daughter (21 years old then).  Asked at the counter if it was open and someone walked up the hill and sent us around.  We bought apple fritters there too and they were delish!
