  • 1.  What park memory are you most thankful for this year?

    Hey all,

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, I thought I'd ask... What are you most thankful for in terms of what you did,.saw,.or experienced while visiting a park this year?

Most thankful for Siren's Curse at Cedar Point! That is a FANTATISTIC coaster! I am thankful that the last time I was at CP in September, I got to ride it in the front seat at night! That was the best ride I ever had on a coaster, I think!

Can't beat a night ride on a great coaster! And you really can't beat a front row night ride on a great coaster!

I'm glad you got some rides in on one of the best new rides in our region! I only got three in myself but I loved each and every one!

I'm thankful that I was able to make a visit out to SFA before they closed. It was chaotic, and I missed some crucial credits (Wild One and Batwing), but I'm still stupidly thankful that I got to go at all.

My daughter and I both got our first (and last) rides at SFA in June this year ourselves. We only had a couple of hours so we had to settle for whatever we could get. Thankfully we did get Batwing and a handful of others, but we too missed out Wild One which was a huge bummer. It was a great park, and if it was just another stop on a coaster trip I would have called it average at best, but given the circumstances we were thrilled that we got those rides in.

I think you put it best... "Stupidly thankful". We too were stupidly thankful.

I am most thankful for going to Holiday World for the first time, where Voyage became my new #1, and riding Lightning Run at Kentucky Kingdom as my 200th coaster on the same trip. That was an incredible post-July 4th trip with some good friends.

On a side note, I am thankful that I finally rode Ka and visited SFA, hitting up all the coasters, last year.

I've never been to Holiday World and Kentucky Kingdom (they are on my list for next year) but I've heard nothing but good things about both of those coasters. Sounds like you made an excellent choice for your #200!

What did Voyage knock down to #2?

It knocked Steel Vengeance down from the top spot. It was up there for over seven years by the time I rode Voyage.

Steel Vengeance is currently my number one, Voyage is definitely one of the few coasters I could knocking it down. Can't wait to give it a shot next year.

Are they any out there that you think have a chance of dethroning Voyage for you?
