I see they have mini golf... is that included in our registration?

Unfortunately no. Mini golf, batting cages, and go karts are upcharge attractions and not included with the unlimited ride wristbands.

That's cool... I still see a round of mini golf in my future! And most importantly,  if all goes to plan, I'll pick up credit #200 on Black Widow!

I know it's extra if you just buy a wristband.  I hope it's included, as there's not a whole lot to do there.

It still looks like it should be a fun day either way. I've been meaning to get up there so hanging out with you guys at an event is the perfect reason to make the trip. Two classic kiddie coasters with some history and some other less common flats make for an enjoyable day in my book. And, I am truly intrigued by the Water Jump ride/coaster/thing!  I also plan on doing some nature hikes while I'm up there. Going to be a great weekend up north!

Do you know if the Water Jump is likely to be running?  I really wanted to ride that on my last visit to the CVWFFP but it was down and they were searching for an exotic part from like Australia maybe?  Just wondering if you knew anything about the status of that ride this season.  I know never a guarantee on any particular day :-)  Thanks!

Best I can tell the only ride on an extended closure is the Octopus.

Don't know when you were there but I was there in August last year and it was working.  (And super fun!  There's nothing quite like being on a roller coaster that flies off the track!)

    That's good news!

    I can't wait to.get on that ride!

I was holding off on this question until I give it a ride, but since you've been on it, I'll throw it out there... is Water Jump a coaster?

Well… in my opinion, yes.  It has a chain lift hill, runs on a coaster track, and makes a full circuit.  I doubt this issue has been discussed much as it's the only one in the world and very few enthusiasts have ridden it, so I think if you and I both agree it's a coaster then a coaster it is!

I've seen some videos of it and I'm leaning towards coaster... I'll wait to ride it before I give a final verdict!

I'm on 198 credits so I should get #200 up there... if it is a coaster then I'll  have to decide between it and Black Widow for the honors.

It hasn't opened for the season yet, but I can tell you they're making progress and are trying to get it open for our event. They know that one's a big draw for us coaster enthusiasts.

I did confirm with Arzo park that their coaster is down for refurbishment and will not be operating til next spring, just incase anyone was thinking about swinging by and picking up that credit.

I can't wait to take the tour and learn about what it takes to keep these classic rides operating.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've heard anything about Arzo's Orient Express operating since pre-COVID times.

They still advertise it though.  πŸ˜ƒ

I only found out because I emailed to see if they permitted adults to ride without a child.

As we get closer to the event I'm really looking forward to everything, but especially the Q&A/tour. This park is full of vintage rides that no doubt of an interesting history and most likely just as interesting maintenance process as some of these parts must be getting harder to find.
