Adventureland in Altoona, Iowa, is giving people something extra to celebrate this holiday week. The park announced its brand-new spinning roller coaster, Phoenix, is open.

Manufactured by the German company Maurer Rides GmbH, the roller coaster features five four-seat cars that spin 360 degrees and can reach speeds of 40 mph. Its height is over 50 feet. Phoenix is the park's first spinning roller coaster.
