Thrill seekers are able to participate in a brand new adventure at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. Guests can now book to experience the ups and downs of one of the park’s classic roller coasters with a chance to walk the wooden tracks.
Usually reserved for specialist engineers, roller coaster enthusiasts will be able to step onto the tracks and walk along The Nickelodeon Streak, the classic wooden roller coaster that has been one of the main attractions of the park since 1933.

The Walk The Woodie event will run for a limited time only, May 13 to October 8. There are three slots available each day, 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., and each slot will be available to a select number of guests, up to four people per walk. The walk is available for ages 12 and up and tickets are priced at £65 each (about $90) .
With plenty of photo opportunities along the way, guests will learn the ins and outs of roller coaster maintenance while enjoying stunning panoramic views of the theme park.
Harnesses, helmets and protective equipment will be provided, but guests must wear suitable sturdy footwear with a good grip, such as walking boots. Guests are also required to partake in a safety briefing beforehand and should allow 90 minutes for the experience.
