On Saturday, December 7, more than 90 ACE members and guests from 11 states gathered at Six Flags Fiesta Texas (San Antonio) for ACE South Central Region’s annual Feliz Fiesta event.

The day began with attendees receiving their event lanyards, which offered the bonus of unlimited Flash Pass access for all park rides and entry to the park’s VIP lounge all day. Despite chilly weather disrupting plans for a first ride of the day on Poltergeist, the Six Flags Fiesta Texas operations team swiftly adjusted the schedule and arranged for the group to have first access to The Joker, featuring its unique funhouse queue.

ACEers spent much of the day on the park’s rides, including Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster and Boomerang Coast to Coaster — the latter having been improved with new Vekoma trains.

Once the park opened, attendees eagerly explored the park’s attractions, making the most of their unlimited Flash Pass benefits to enjoy as many rides as possible.

Throughout the day, attendees took time to appreciate the park’s holiday décor.

As evening approached, the group gathered for a traditional holiday meal in the park’s pavilion area. During dinner, park President Jeffrey Siebert welcomed attendees and shared updates about the park. He mentioned that Dr. Diabolical herself had requested discussions with Bolliger & Mabillard about potential updates to her machine (sounding very foreboding the entire time), hinted at progress on the new DC area (Monorail, Monorail, Monorail) and noted expected improvements in food service. He also took time to answer questions from the audience.

Attendees were treated to reserved seating for “The Majesty of Christmas.”

Following dinner, guests were escorted backstage to Rockville High for the park’s spectacular tree lighting ceremony. This was followed by reserved seating for Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol — A Spirited New Musical,” and later, reserved seating at the Zaragosa Theater for “The Majesty of Christmas.” As an exclusive ACE perk, attendees were invited onto the stage for a group photo and a quick meet and greet with the cast after the show.

A trip on the park’s train enabled riders to view the park’s impressive holiday decorations.
