ACE members were treated to a free online showing of the newest ACE documentary, “The Legacy of Schwarzkopf.” This member-exclusive event was a terrific way for ACEers to get together and enjoy the shared experience of watching the online world premiere.
This documentary has been a years’-long project for ACE volunteers. The documentary culminated in the in-person world premiere in Austin, Texas, at Circuit of The Americas in November 2024. Other in-person showings included an opening at the 2024 IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Florida, an early 2025 showing at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, California, and another at Row House Cinema in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Because of the geographic restraints of those in-person showings, the ACE documentary team and ACE digital team came together for a live presentation of “The Legacy of Schwarzkopf” on Friday, March 14. Hundreds of ACEers signed up and tuned into the presentation.
The event started with a director’s discussion with the team in which a little about the process and the hurdles was discussed. Then it was on to the main event. The film included interviews, footage and a story arch following the life and creations of Anton Schwarzkopf, a German engineer who had his hand in creating dozens of roller coasters around the world.
As the film progressed, there was discussion in the chat about the facts being learned, as well as some comments and exclamations of joy from viewers.
Keep watching ACE social media and the ACE Updates for future news on “The Legacy of Schwarzkopf.”
