The year’s not over, but the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives (NRCMA) has had a busy nine months.
- On July 26, the NRCMA hosted a public, enthusiast event called "Back to the Museum." This was a preview event that gave supporters and fans an opportunity to see newly acquired historic amusement vehicles and artifacts that they had helped preserve through fundraising.

- Four different ride vehicles from across North America have been acquired: a lead car from Kingda Ka (Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey), track and the lead car from Nighthawk (Carowinds, Charlotte, North Carolina), cars from La Vibora (Six Flags Over Texas, Arlington, Texas) and Time Warp (Canada’s Wonderland, Vaughan, Ontario, Canada) roller coasters.

- The foundation for Canobie Corkscrew was poured for the grand entrance, and re-erection will begin in just a few weeks.
- The electrical plan for the museum is being finalized, and it is hoped that work can begin on it shortly. This system will allow the museum to be permanently occupied and will cost approximately $200,000.
- Work has begun on the NRCMA’s largest vehicle movement ever, and the museum hopes to announce it (and several other items) at IAAPA Expo in November.
- The first truckload of historic items owned by either ACE or the NRCMA arrived at the museum from Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc. (see related article in this ACE News).
- More than $5,000 was raised at the annual Golden Ticket Awards Golf Tournament, held this year in Charlotte, North Carolina. These funds will go toward the purchase of the museum’s electrical system. Thanks to sponsorships from Baynum Solutions, Zamperla, Park Paradise, Whiting Turner, Get It Done Marketing, Vivaticket, Whitewater West, Maclan, Great Coasters International and Amusement Today, as well as the support of 36 golfers from around the world, the annual affair helped to further the museum’s mission of amusement history preservation.
