One hundred four miles north of Stockholm, Sweden, is Furuvik, a combination park with a zoo, hotel, amusement park, water park and concert arena, beautifully situated by the sea about six miles south of Gävle.
The park currently has two coasters, Fireball, a Vekoma shuttle/boomerang, and Draken, a kiddie coaster from Zierer.
Opening in the spring of 2023 will be a third coaster, Lightning, also from Vekoma. The train launches from the station, reaching a speed of 46 mph in three seconds and producing a G-force of 2.8. After traversing the 1410.8 feet of track, the train receives a second booster launch through the station at the same speed/time. The coaster train consists of 10 cars, each holding two passengers.
