With this issue we’re saying goodbye to the experience of opening up the mailbox to find the latest edition of ACE News inside. I remember receiving black and white pages full of information about new coasters to ride and events to attend every month or so. But with technological change, the printed ACE newsletter, while appreciated, experienced a decline in preeminence.
I’m happy to report that the online version of ACE News is on the starting line. All the content will be there, but rather than waiting every other month, the goal is to update it weekly. And for members who enjoy receiving a paper copy, there will be a bi-monthly digest to download and print. Thanks to Jerry Willard, Tim Baldwin, Jeffrey Seifert and Lee Ann Draud for their leadership on this effort.
To stay relevant with the weekly updates, ACE News will need information and photos from events even faster, so I urge everyone to become a volunteer content provider and send photos and updates to Tim Baldwin (tbaldwin@aceonline.org).
And with this change ACE dues have gone down and your regular membership has been extended. You can print out a membership card with your new expiration date at aceonline.org.
ACE's leadership wants to hear more from you so we’ll be sending out a survey soon to see what else we can do to get you to become an ACEer for life! But for now, thanks for being a member!
