At the recent Eastcoaster event on February 1, ACE President Robert Ulrich presented Cheri Armstrong with a plaque recognizing her as the organization’s newest honorary member. Congratulations to Cheri on this well-deserved acknowledgment. Her plaque reads:

ACE Salutes Cheri Armstrong for her many years of service and dedication to ACE.

A long-time and well-traveled enthusiast, Cheri has been active in ACE for more than 25 years. She has been a stalwart on the national level as an example of someone who got involved and enjoyed it so much that she just kept volunteering for other roles.

Cheri has served on ACE’s Executive Committee since 2012, first as treasurer and then as secretary before returning to the treasurer role again. She has been very diligent in each position to ensure things were left better after her term than before she began service. She was instrumental in the transition of ACE in 2013 to a new association manager and assisted with the implementation of many key measurers that helped turn around ACE’s financial outlook after several declining years.

She readily helps out while still keeping an eye to make sure ACE does things “right,” often giving up much of her own time at events or outside of events to serve ACE. This is further evidenced by her key role as co-trip planner/leader/coach captain of ACE’s international trips including Mexico, Japan and Italy.

Prior to this service, she was an active volunteer at events and within her region. She also has been a frequent contributor to ACE’s photo archives.

ACE celebrates Cheri for being an inspiration and always willing to lend a hand to help make ACE better.
